Jonathan Shaw is Deputy Director of the International Diabetes Institute, Australia, and Associate Professor in the Departments of Medicine, and Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine at Monash University, Australia.

 

 

Professor Tien Wong, Centre for Eye Research, University of Melbourne, Australia

Tien Wong is currently Professor and Chair of the Department of Ophthalmology, the University of Melbourne and Director of the Centre for Eye Research Australia. Dr Wong is an ophthalmologist and with a particular interest in diabetic retinopathy and other retinal vascular diseases. He leads a broad-based research program with a focus on the concept that early retinal vascular changes, detected via digital retinal imaging techniques, may predict the risk of diabetes and related macro- and micro-vascular complications, including stroke, ischemic heart disease, kidney disease and retinopathy.
